Senior Accountant – Private Equity

Location: Dallas, TX

A growing private investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Dallas-based team. This role reports to the Controller and offers strong exposure to leadership, financial reporting, and strategic analysis across a diverse investment portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (US GAAP)

  • Analyze financial and operating data to support business decisions

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures

  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules and audit requests

  • Assist leadership with financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)

  • 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, audit, or similar accounting role

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis)

  • Experience with data visualization tools is a plus

  • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
